This convenient quick disconnect package supplied by OmniSwivel International offers high-flow performance to provide a quick disconnect between a standard low-pressure hose and second stage regulator. The 9/16-inch female end screws attaches to the standard male threads found on most second stage regulators and at the other end is a QD male post. The 9/16-inch male end screws into an ordinary LP regulator hose for the gas supply, and the other end of the adapter is a QD female fitting that accepts the QD male post on the second stage. Made of stainless steel and Nitrox Ready, this package is compatible with the other Omniswivel High Flow QD System fittings.

When pushed together to form a locked connection, the QD fittings permit unrestricted bidirectional gas flow in the low-pressure hose. Pull the slide-release to disconnect and automatically seal to block gas flow from the low-pressure supply on the QD female fitting. This also allows the QD male fitting to be connected or released while the QD female fitting is pressurized, although connection and release are much easier to accomplish when un-pressurized. The Omniswivel version slide-release includes a backup twist-lock mechanism that, when properly engaged, prevents inadvertent disconnection.

The individual female and male QD fittings are also available separately if your application needs more of one fitting than the other. For example you have multiple second stages but only one supply hose, or you have multiple supply hoses but only one second stage. Add an optional hose coupling that allows two standard low-pressure regulator hoses to be joined together into one longer regulator hose with the quick disconnect in the middle instead of the end. The coupling accepts the 9/16-inch end of the QD male fitting, and the other end of the coupling accepts a standard 3/8-inch low-pressure hose fitting.
