Supplied by OmniSwivel International, this adapter offers a fixed 98° angle to connect a standard low pressure regulator hose having a standard 9/16-inch fitting to the Poseidon Cyklon second stage. OmniSwivel calls this device a low-pressure "elbow" but we would call it a low-pressure "pivot swivel". The swivel attaches between the regulator second stage and its low pressure hose, routing the hose down the diver's chest and/or under the arm, which increases comfort and streamlining. This low-profile adapter is not an omnidirectional swivel and so it maintains its angle and will not allow the regulator to flop around. Some people prefer the 98° adapter because it angles the hose very slightly away from the neck and face.

Because of the history behind the Cyklon model second stage, there is a compatibility issue with modern standard hose fittings. Poseidon USA advises us that they are aware of this behavior, limited exclusively to Cyklon model second stages, and to address this issue they offer Cyklon specific OEM heavy rubber hoses. We also find that adapters, including our generics and the standard Omniswivel adapters, exhibit the issue to a greater degree. This special version of the Omniswivel elbow adapter perfectly connects a standard low pressure regulator hose to the Cyklon fitting found on the Poseidon Cyklon second stage.
