Like the Azimuth, the Slide Lock 2 is fabricated from high precision, CNC-machined acetal and stainless steel components. While borrowing from the Azimuth’s ergonomic and low-profile design, this reel incorporates a unique one-handed “thumb flick” locking and unlocking mechanism made popular in the original Slide Lock series. Locking and unlocking the Slide Lock Reel requires only one hand and a simple thumb flick. The low profile, thumb operated and spring loaded locking pin has positive detents for on and off lock. The locking pin engages with the spool to either lock the spool in place or release it for use. When unlocked, the reel is free spooling, meaning that there is no ratcheting action like there is on other locking reels. The free spool allows for a smooth and effortless deployment of line.

The versatile {200 ft | 60 m} size is ideal for many applications, including as a cave primary or cave safety, wreck diving, or shooting lift bags and markers. The {400 ft | 120 m} size is typical for use as a larger primary cave reel and is perfect for the extended exploration of any underwater environment. The included double-eye bolt snap is marine quality 316 stainless steel and the line stop bead is a low profile design. Available in white or orange 1.75 mm braided nylon line.
