The Hydro Lite Buoyancy System is low weight BCD for single tank divers. Incorporating a technical soft backplate and wing design, the Hydro Lite offers all-in-one convenience without sacrificing the features that advanced divers demand. Designed specifically for streamlined, warm water diving and ideal for travel, the Hydro Lite comes in at only { 6.2 lb | 2.8 kg } in a compact and easily packed form factor. Using the same durable materials and hardware as the rest of the premium Dive Rite line, the Hydro Lite will easily hold up to years diving.

A mountaineering backpack style harness keeps the rig stable and guarantees that the Hydro Lite is as comfortable out of the water as in. On land the harness is designed to distribute the load to the hips and alleviate added stress to the back and shoulders. Four { 2 in | 5.1 cm } D-rings are located on the chest and waist belt. Standard { 2 in | 5.1 cm } waist and shoulder webbing allows the diver to add or remove any D-rings or accessories to customize the system. For added stability the harness includes a { 1.5 in | 3.8 cm } crotch strap, plus integrated lumbar pad, hip pads, and shoulder pads are included for additional comfort. Adjustable quick release straps and an integrated chest strap make getting in and out of the harness a snap.

An integrated { 30 lb | 13.6 kg } lift aircell provides the ideal amount of lift for a diver, tank, and weights, while maintaining a streamlined shape. Positioned for perfect trim, the 360-degree oval shape hugs the cylinder preventing the aircell from “tacoing” around the tank and trapping air. The Hydro Lite uses a “rapid exhaust” power inflator assembly on the left shoulder and an over-pressure valve with pull dump on the lower left of the wing. Extremely rugged, the Hydro Lite aircell is designed for the long-term using a 600 denier polyester material outer bag and a 210 denier nylon laminated inner bladder.

The Hydro Lite also includes an integrated low profile { 12 lb | 5.44 kg } weight system with quick release pulls. By eliminating the use of additional holsters or large pull handles, the integrated weight system adds minimal bulk to the BCD. Each pocket can be quickly loaded with up to { 6 lb | 2.72 kg } of either block or soft weight. The combination hook-and-loop plus a buckle retainer holds the weight securely while allowing the diver to quickly ditch their weight in case of emergency.

The Hydro Lite incorporates two tank straps, as well as a tank height adjustment strap for ease of setup. The top tank strap is Dive Rite’s { 2 in | 5.1 cm } stainless steel non-marring roller buckle cam strap. The bottom strap is a quick adjust hook-and-loop retainer designed to provide additional tank stability while reducing overall weight.

Available in five harness sizes, S-XXL, easily adjustable for in-between sizes. These sizes correspond to men’s t-shirt sizes and provides a good indication of which size Hydro Lite is best for you. The ultimate tool for streamlining, upgrade your Dive Rite Hydro Lite BC with our optional DGX Gears BC Integrated Backup Regulator. The breathable inflator replaces the standard K-style inflator, combining an alternate air source with a power-inflator and eliminating a traditional long hose octopus dragging in the sand or across fragile coral. This configuration also makes it quicker and easier to find your backup regulator because you reach for and operate your inflator several times throughout each dive. In an emergency out-of-air donation, you always donate the primary regulator in your mouth and switch to breathing from the BCI.

The DGX Gears BC Integrated Backup Regulator will be installed on the corrugated inflator hose and is fed by the first stage in the same manner as any regulator. It is supplied with a hi-flow quick coupling adapter together with an included low-pressure flex regulator hose that also supplies the power-inflator - thus eliminating the traditional long hose and dangling octopus regulator that is a hassle. The advantage of using a high-flow QD adapter with an ordinary low-pressure regulator hose is that should the hose later need to be replaced due to age or damage, you do not have to source a hose with a specialized QD fitting.
