> HOG 'D' Diaphragm First Stage

The HOG D1 first stage in their trivalent chrome-plating is a balanced diaphragm design featuring five standard low-pressure 3/8-inch ports (four on a swiveling turret and one on the end), and two standard high-pressure 7/16-inch ports on the side. The 5th LP port on the end of the swivel greatly increases the utility for a wider variety of hose routing. The trivalent chrome-plating process is exceptionally friendly to the environment compared to standard chrome-plating process and produces a unique gunmetal color finish. Diving doubles, singles, or sidemount you'll find that the HOG D1 First Stage will exceed your expectations as a primary or backup. It comes standard with a 300-BAR DIN connector and includes a quality protective Delrin DIN cap with string. The D1 is available in two versions, standard or a coldwater version for water temps below { 50°F | 10°C }.

HOG also offers their D2 compact first stage featuring four fixed position standard low-pressure 3/8-inch ports and two standard high-pressure 7/16-inch ports, symmetrically positioned on the sides. The D2 has similar performance to the D1, but the compact D2 has a matte all-black finish and is approximately { 1 in | 2.54 cm } shorter. The D2 is a popular choice as a stage/deco/inflation first stage. It also comes with a 300-BAR DIN connector and includes a quality protective Delrin DIN cap. The D2 is available in two versions, standard or a coldwater version for water temps below { 50°F | 10°C }.

HOG BP2 Piston First Stage, 5-Port Swivel

The HOG BP2 first stage is a modern balanced flow through piston design featuring five standard low-pressure 3/8-inch ports (four on a swiveling turret and one on the end), and two standard high-pressure 7/16-inch ports on the side. The 5th LP port on the end of the swivel greatly increases the utility for a wider variety of hose routing. It comes standard with a 300-BAR DIN connector and includes a quality protective Delrin DIN cap with string.

The balanced flow through piston design of the HOG BP2 is a traditional favorite among cave divers. Compared with diaphragm designs, the piston type first stage offers the advantage of being more compact and has significantly fewer moving parts. Piston regulator designs are also capable of exceptionally high volume gas flow, making them well suited to very deep diving. However, we don't recommend piston regulator designs for ice diving or diving in water routinely containing heavy silt or debris (i.e. 'contaminated').

> HOG 2nd Stage Only Regulator

There are three versions of the HOG second stage: Trivalent chrome 'Gunmetal' color with red accents on the venturi assist switch and the mouthpiece, or the 'Special Edition' version with all black color chrome and mouthpiece, or the 'Duroc' version black chrome with red body. They are all otherwise identical except for color.

The most important feature of the HOG technical second stage is the amazing breathing performance! The metal gas tube and precision components of this second stage offer precise tuning for extremely easy breathing while also retaining heat and moisture from exhaled breath. This provides increased resistance to freezing in cold water and less "dry mouth". The HOG Second stage gives you ergonomic one-handed access to both the inhalation effort knob and the dive/predive venturi adjustment lever, making perfect regulator tuning easy. The dual diver-adjustable features allow for condition-specific tuning during each stage of the dive.

> HOG Switchback Second Stage

The ambidextrous case of of the HOG Switchback second stage regulator can be configured to accept the hose from either the diver's right or left side. This feature offers maximum hose routing flexibility for sidemount and decompression divers. The Switchback also offers a new composite plastic case material for greater durability and impact resistance.

The two extra Switchback parts required for hose routing configuration changes are included with every regulator. The Switchback can be easily re-configured for either side by anyone qualified to service HOG regulators. HOG highly recommends that non qualified individuals seek professional training/mentoring before attempting repairs or servicing on HOG products, including the Switchback.
