I/O Port Cable Pinouts for Oxygen Sensor

Unterminated I/O Port cable
I/O Port Cable

This is only documentation of the unterminated I/O port cable connection information for use with a single oxygen sensor. This configuration will work with the VR3, Pursuit, and Explorer dive computers. The unterminated cable alone is NOT a complete solution because we do not supply any type of generic cable sealing gland, sensor mount or sensor connector. These must be provided by the designer of a complete custom O2 monitoring solution.

Fischer Pinouts
Fischer plug # SC 103 A057

Inside the male connector of the cable you will see a 'half circle' key (i.e. thicker side). Note the pinouts are mirror imaged for the plug vs the receptacle, so best to use the key as your landmark for identifying the correct pins.

Belden Cable
Example Cable

In the four conductor shielded cable,
Fischer Plug Pin 1 (center) is the solid blue or green conductor.
Fischer Plug Pin 3 is the solid white conductor and

Other conductors in the cable are unused for a single sensor O2 monitoring application and left unterminated.

Molex Pinouts
Molex Part 22-01-3037
with polarizing rib

On the female Molex Connector
The solid white conductor is Circuit 1 and
The solid blue or greenconductor is Circuit 3

Take care not to confuse solid color conductors in the cable with striped conductors.

R-22 Pinouts
R-22 type O2 Sensor

On the Oxygen Sensor
Circuit 1 (white) connects to positive pin and
Circuit 3 (blue or green) connects to negative pin.

Once the cable is assembled, and an O2 sensor connected, on the male end of the Fischer connector you should be able to measure approximately 10mv (in air) between pin 3 (positive) and the center pin 1 (negative).
